Shakti is the creative power that allows one to feel healthy and experience a sense of purpose and fulfillment in everyday life. This is the perfect name for the cold-pressed juice company I had the pleasure of visiting recently.
Shakti first caught my eye on Instagram when I saw their juices come in glass bottles rather than plastic. Not only does this preserve the taste, but the glass is 100% recyclable.
The process Shakti uses to produce their cold-pressed juices ensures the consumer is getting the most nutrition possible from each bottle.
Other juices are heat pasteurized which destroys a lot of the nutrients before the juice even hits the store shelves. Shakti uses UV-C light filtration, which reduces bacteria growth while retaining all the vitamins, minerals and enzymes.
In addition, they only use organic, non-GMO produce and make their juices shortly after the fruits and vegetables are harvested. As soon as the produce is delivered, they make the juice, bottle it, and deliver it to local stores. It doesn’t get much fresher than that!
I tried four popular flavors: Pure Green, Sweet Green, Reishi Turmeric Lemonade, and Unfiltered Apple Cider.
I enjoyed both green juices. I found the most prominent taste in the Pure Green to be cucumber. and in the Sweet Green pineapple. If I had to choose, I would go with the Sweet Green since I really like pineapple, but I can honestly say that both flavors are the best green juices I’ve ever tasted.
Reishi Turmeric Lemonade is probably not everyone’s cup of tea. It’s not sweet, but I would drink this flavor after a long run or tough workout for its anti-inflammatory ingredients.
I loved the Unfiltered Apple Cider! It was definitely my favorite of the four. I could drink it every day.
