If you like the flavors of vegan apple crisp and apple pie but want a healthier (and easier) option, you'll love making Baked Apple Slices.
Unlike other recipes, this vegan version doesn't contain any butter, oil, or cane sugar. It's simply made with apples, pure maple syrup, and cinnamon, with a hint of lemon juice for balance, and corn starch for thickening.
It's the perfect dessert you can make anytime you're craving a sweet treat made with fruit.

Serving suggestions
Baked Apple Slices are a wonderful dessert or snack on their own. Or you can top them with vegan whipped cream or a scoop of dairy-free vanilla ice cream for a more indulgent treat.
They can also be enjoyed at breakfast. They make a tasty topping for vegan banana yogurt pancakes, overnight matcha oats, and spinach chia pudding.
Storing
Leftover Baked Apples can be refrigerated in an airtight container for 3 to 4 days. Reheat in a microwave or the oven.
Recipe FAQs
When baking apples it's best to stay away from varieties that are too soft or too sweet. Avoid baking Red Delicious, Gala, Fuji, and McIntosh for best results.

Connie says
I did make this for Brad, he wasn’t sure if there was any sugar. I added some sugar but will make again with just maple syrup. It was very tasty & I didn’t have to make pie crust! Yeah
