matcha powder

cup
boiling water
(approximately 175°F/80°C)

cup
strawberries
roughly chopped

Tablespoon
pure maple syrup
(Use 2 Tablespoons if you prefer a sweeter drink.)
½ to 1
cup
crushed ice
(or ice cubes)
½
cup
unsweetened plant milk
(I recommend organic soy or oat milk, but almond, coconut, or your favorite non-dairy milk can be used.)

Instructions
Prepare the matcha by whisking together the matcha powder and boiling water until no lumps remain. Set aside.
Add the strawberries and pure maple syrup to a blender. Blend until a puree is formed. It does not have to be perfectly smooth.
Place the puree in the bottom of a tall glass and top with ice.
Pour the plant milk over the ice.
Give the prepared matcha a quick stir and pour it over the milk. Enjoy immediately.
