Over 70,000 people attend the Natural Products Expo West every year to sample new healthy, natural and organic products. Seeing all 3,000 exhibits is next to impossible, but I did my best to find exciting new foods and beverages that will be coming soon to a store near you. I narrowed my large list down to eight to share with you.
I am a big fan of kombucha and drink it almost every day. Not only does TheBU Kombucha taste amazing, it’s made with all organic, non-GMO ingredients and contains more probiotics than other brands. I was particularly fond of the Tropical flavor.
I used to love Caesar salad, and now Daiya makes a delicious plant-based Creamy Caesar dressing. Look for it in major grocery stores next month, along with Blue Cheese and Ranch.
There were a lot of veggie burgers and meat-substitutes at Expo West, but I fell in love with the organic, non-GMO tofu and yuba from Hodo Soy. Did you know they supply the tofu for Chipotle’s sofritas? The sesame yuba noodles were my favorite, but I enjoyed everything I tried.
Palm & Bean Cold Brew Coffee with coconut milk isn’t on the market yet, but I’m hoping they will be soon. I tried the original vanilla flavor and the mocha flavor, and both were smooth, creamy, and delicious.
I’m more of a tea drinker than a coffee drinker, and I really enjoyed sampling Jade Leaf Matcha. It’s organic green matcha tea from Japan which can also be used for cooking and in smoothies. I tried it in a matcha latte, and I can’t wait to try it in Matcha Chia Pudding (recipe coming soon!)
I had heard that Follow Your Heart would be coming out with a line of vegan, gluten-free breads, but I had no idea they are also making tortillas. I tried the bread toasted and the tortillas as the wrapper for a breakfast burrito, and I was so happy! Look for all the varieties very soon.
Did someone say organic non-GMO raw chocolate bars? These candy bars from Nelly’s Organics are so fresh and free of preservatives, they are sold refrigerated. These are treats you won’t feel guilty eating. If you’re a peanut butter fan, I recommend the Peanut Butter & Coconut Bar.
Nada Moo is one of the creamiest non-dairy ice creams I’ve ever eaten. My go-to flavor of this coconut-based dessert is the Cookies & Cream, but the new That Snickerdoodle Dough is pretty amazing.
And that’s a wrap!
