You probably know by now that I'm a big fan of smoothies. Some of my favorite recipes include Peanut Butter Green Smoothie and Pineapple Green Smoothie. But I sometimes get into a rut and make the same smoothies every day.

I think my favorite part about the Banana Berry smoothie is the inclusion of fresh parsley. Even though we have some growing in the backyard (and it's very inexpensive to buy), I often forget to use it in recipes. Parsley is a wonderful herb to consume because of it's antioxidant and disease-fighting properties. Plus it gives everything a fresh, bright flavor.

Banana Berry Fresh Smoothie
- ½ cup frozen banana
- ½ cup frozen raspberries
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- ½-1 cup water, (add as needed, to get things moving)
- 4 ice cubes
- Puree until smooth.
