Mix up your usual morning bread and butter routine with Avocado and Pomegranate Toast. I also enjoy it as a snack or lunch with a salad or soup. In fact, I could eat this toast every day!
Who needs butter when there are avocados? Not only is slathering your toast with avocado instead of butter or margarine healthier, I would argue it’s tastier, too. Even restaurants have jumped on the avocado-toast bandwagon. But it’s so simple to make at home, and the combinations are of ingredients you can add are endless.
I really love the combination of avocado and pomegranate seeds. They are really delicious together in Pomegranate Guacamole. And the colors look so pretty, don’t you agree? (I like to bring this guacamole to holiday parties. It’s always a hit!)
But now, let’s make Avocado and Pomegranate Toast!
Avocado and Pomegranate Toast
- Prepare your toast in a toaster or toaster oven.
- Spread the avocado on each piece of toast with the back of a fork, approximately 1/4 of an avocado per slice.
- Sprinkle the salt, hemp seeds, pomegranate seeds, and red pepper flakes (if using) on top.
